Book "Fight for land in the Amazon: dead in the fight for land! alive in the fight on earth!" is an extension project of the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) and rescues history of cases of violence involving land conflicts in the Amazon.
It brings light to the murders of union leaders, religious leaders, lawyers, slaughters and massacres of native peoples and defenders of their rights and the rights of the land.
"Women, Struggle and Resistance in the Amazon" shows four women from quilombola communities in Pará. In it, they report their experiences with the constant invasions of macro economic projects in their territories and the continuous threats suffered, not only to them, but also to their families and communities. In the midst of intimidation, they weave dreams and hopes of preserving their lives and communities.
