OUR WORK

SEFRAS fights every day against hunger, violations of rights and for the economic and social insertion of extremely vulnerable populations: homeless people, immigrants and refugees, poor children and adolescents, the elderly alone and people afflicted with Hansen's disease.

SUPPORTED AUDIENCE

INCIDENCE

Knowing how to articulate and mobilize in the face of evidence of reality is a SEFRAS commitment. Therefore, it is important to always have a relevant proposal for political impact, which composes the advocacy strategy, fundamental for the institutional development of an organization that works to promote and defend rights.

For this, SEFRAS defined investing in this strategy as a priority, as a perspective of qualifying its performance and incidence in the defense of groups and realities still made invisible by public policies in Brazil.

To carry out these actions, a Committee is appointed, coordinated by the board and by the advocacy area and composed of representatives of workers, volunteers, researchers in the area and Franciscan activists.

In addition, Franciscans have spaces for articulation that compose the strategy, such as the Inter-Franciscan Service of Justice, Peace and Ecology – SINFRAJUPE, at the national level, Franciscans International, which represents us at the United Nations – UN, in New York and in Geneva.
